Member Appreciation Post! Over this past winter break 7 of our SUA family embarked on a journey to Panama with the SU chapter of Global Brigades to promote sustainable public health, bond with the community, and provide relief where there is limited healthcare. They volunteered for about a week, immersed in a new culture and place to spread health education and compassion to the people of Panama. Meet our SUA Secretary: Sophia Bourgeois! Sophia is a Sophomore at SU studying Public Health on a pre-medicine track. She joined SUA in 2015, the fall of her freshman year. Sophia's responsibility as Secretary is to attend the Admin meetings and then create an enthusiastic email to send out to all of the SUA membership. This email informs members of what is going on at SUA within the executive and administrative branches. Sophia's favorite part about holding this position is how she can use her enthusiasm and love for SUA to keep the membership informed and excited. A fun fact about Sophia is that she lives in France in the summer and speaks fluent french! Sophia says that, "When I joined SUA my freshman year, I not only joined an organization that serves the SU community, but I also joined a family... one that I will forever be apart of." 😊🚑 #suambulance #suafam #nyems (at Syracuse University)
