The Japanese underneath even says pitcher ピッチャー.
I mean, it’s written RIGHT THERE on the screen for them.
I rest my case.

Okay.... I really hope this works for other people... but if you watch this clip of the Mamushka Dance from the 90s Addams Family movie with English subs on -- the subs are doing Deck The Halls. And it's really amusing.
So We Started on Native American Regions This Week and I Had to Miss a Day
So I left a sub. A sub who used to teach 4th grade supposedly.
So imagine my surprise when I came back to discover that:
A) My students Theory of Migration to North America now included fighting the British
B) That whole land-bridge theory I taught them (The water in the Bering Straight lowered as water was used up to form glaciers leaving a strip of bare land connecting Asia and North America) was now supposedly made out of "fallen icebergs"
C) One of my students who is half Native American was asked to dance in front of the whole class. No idea why.
So... Never calling that sub again? Re-teaching all that stuff again? Good times.
