It’s beginning to be tomato season and we were lucky enough to get oodles of glorious, locally grown grape tomatoes from @rrfarmstexas ! 🍅🌞🍅🌞🍅 There were so many we couldn’t eat them fast enough so I decided to make my own “Not So Sun-dried Tomatoes” using my food dehydrator! It was so easy and a great way to preserve and prolong tomato season! After they were mostly dried and slightly sticky I put them in a jar and poured olive oil over the top to preserve! If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can easily do this in the oven; 250F for 2.5-3.5 hours until they are to your desired doneness! You can store them in your fridge or freezer and you can add a bay leaf, garlic clove and other herbs! And always remember, caring is sharing so share a jar with a friend! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and can all you can folks! . . . . . #kellebjammin #preserving #tomatoes #locallygrown #subdriedtomatoes #canallyoucan #grapetomatoes #farmfresh #goodeats #canning #preservingtheharvest #fooddehydrator #dehydratedfood #dehydrator #nomnom #lubbockmade #makersgonnamake https://www.instagram.com/p/CD5AfLcADcl/?igshid=ul4tfpmulh1
