It was 26th January of 1928 when #NetajiSubhasChandraBose raised the demand for PURNA SWARAJ in Kolkata Conference of AICC. Unfortunately his demand was denied by #Gandhi and #MotilalNehru. But one year later his demand was granted in 1929 at Lahore Congress and ultimately India celebrated it’s first Independence Day in #26th January of 1930. In the leadership of young #SubhasChandra it became a festival and continued till 1947 even after his termination from Congress before we got DOMINION STATUS. Bharatiya Ganaparished accepted the day of 26th January as our REPUBLIC DAY in 1950.
