Reactions and first thoughts on Subject 402′s first update

1. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I’m hype!!!!

2. Baby Kai is both adorable and somehow highly relatable

3. Assron says that Kai’s bio mom has her own family, with a husband and daughter. Roberts has a daughter who died. This might be nothing but I’m pointing it out anyway

4. The panel of Kai and 402 looking at each other through the window has Kai’s side shaded much darker than 402′s side, which has visible shafts of light. We also don’t see the back wall or any kind of door for either of them. Those things combined, this panel gives off the feeling that Kai is the one trapped/caged. I’m no surprised, as I’m sure that’s going to be a theme in this, but I am very impressed with Raven’s art

5. The “Jordan” that appears toward the end, right after Kai’s thought “Subject 402″ is interesting, and I’m inclined to think that Kai ends up calling 402 Jordan, which could also explain why he goes by Kai outside the lab in Self Aware, if he feels that name isn’t really his anymore

6. Assron needs to die (also I’m pretty sure Kai implied he’s going to stage an accident with an experiment to kill him, and I vaguely remember an extra from Raven that implied that)
