Gavin Reed: Detective-turned-Special Operative for the mysterious Alliance. Tearing through North America in an RV with a spy who defected not once but twice from two different employers, a dying cyborg kid who can probably nuke an entire state out of existence on a bad day, the deadliest linguist he has ever met, and an android with glowy blue magic whom Gavin swears looks exactly the same as the very Captain Allen back in the DPD, he realises that although he might be hitching a ride back home, surviving the trip in one piece and being able to return to his life from before is wholly another matter.
Louis W. Allen: a man with a charge of treason on his back reinitiated by the DPD to investigate a turf war that is destroying Detroit block by block by reducing it into a radioactive wasteland. With the help of his team, it doesn’t take long for them to realise that the situation is way out of their paygrade, one that is directly tied to their seemingly separate past.
They say that history is written by the victors, but who will write theirs if no one left to document their victory?
