Continuing with my accountability touchbase as I work at getting back in shape:
Okay, mistakes were made.
I should be reporting on my experience with week 3, day 3. That's what I promised last time, and I didn't forget to report like earlier in the week.
Yet I'm reporting on week 4, day 1. Because I'm a fool.
Y'see, I set up my interval timers in advance. And I selected the wrong one. I was very confused about why my first jog was taking much longer than expected. And when I checked during the walk interval realized what had happened.
Now, I could have stopped the timer and switched to the week three one, but starting in the middle would have fucked up the timings on the accompanying playlist. So I decided to push through. And I made it, with a lot of babying through the jog intervals. My pace suffered, but I made it successfully through, despite the unexpected advance to 5 minute intervals.
I was looking forward to my last week 3 day, as I really liked the pacing, but I guess I'm just moving ahead with week 4. I did discover that my playlist isn't quite set-up right, so I'll fix that before my next jog at least. And I now have some extra buffer if the weather continues to be poor.
Distance was the best yet, but that's mostly because of the length of the run times, not because I was moving at a good speed. We're finally firmly moving into jogging more than walking territory and this is the last week where the schedule is the same for the full week.
No fashion crimes or citronella (0 bites).
We'll see how things continue with the week 4 intervals. If I'm struggling, I might slip my missing week 3 session in as a "break".
