Hiii San ok I’ve had a few days to process ahvbdf

I’m going to start this off by saying it wasn’t terrible. My expectations were crawling around in the dirt with the worms and shit, but there are definitely much worse movies out there! That being said ... it wasn’t great. I did enjoy it tho. If anything it hit me with a wave of nostalgia so strong it made me want to read the books again

All in all it follows the baseline plot of tkonlg but like. jumbled up. Some things were the same, some were different, some were completely thrown out and I understand why. A lot of things were fun! Other things I refuse to talk about!! 

It’s also a fairly short movie which I suppose is a saving grace. 1hr 44mins. The ending is open which leaves room for a potential sequel?? 

I do like the way the Noise was depicted. Feels a lot like my anxiety, so it earns a point from me. Although they could have gone deeper into the Mayor and how exactly his control of the other men works and how it’s affects them and, by extension, Todd. But it was more like: This is David. He’s a little shady but we won’t go too deep into that. His son is a creep. He has a flock of man-sheep, just go with it. 

OH OMG THE PRENTISSTOWN FASHION you just. You just need to experience it. 

Also they pushed the romance a little too early for my liking. Thats pretty much all i can say without too many spoilers i guess.

i only recently started exploring the dynamics of other ships but from you and others i have started to appreciate nalby more. i always recognized that they had a special bond and connection but i never looked at it in a romantic light. it’s still hard for me to actively multiship anything outside my main ship but i 100% get nalby. would love more pre-thomas exploration of them in the glade!

Summary: “Well,” said the newt that wasn’t actually a newt but also said its name was Newt so what was the truth, “that’s a bit of a simplified way to put it but you’re more or less right.”

“Okay,” Thomas said, again, very carefully putting the baby down so as not to wake it. “I’m going to sleep and when I wake up it will be to find this was all a dream.”

“That’s not how life works! You can’t just make things go away by ignoring them.”

“Shut up, I’m not taking life advice from a dream.”

In which Thomas is just trying to get through uni life when life throws a wrench he can’t dodge at him that causes consequences™.

 In this case, the wrench is a magical time travelling baby and a talking newt that break into his house at 3am, and the consequences are becoming the protagonist of a magical girl series. But hey, it could be worse. At least he doesn’t have to deal with romance on top of it, right?…right?

i wish i could say that it was something fun, but honestly? my mattress, as weird as it is. i splurged on myself and got a purple mattress last year.

× lip/mickey... look, i would riot if i saw even a hint of it in canon, and not in a fun way. and i've never read nor intend to read any fics of it, but i have to admit, it fascinates me.

× fiona/jasmine. i miss jasmine. she was fun. bring her back.

19. ship that you never expected to ship?

× ander muñoz and patrick blanco. i was not optimistic about any of the new cast for season four of elite, but patrick and mencia grew on me, even if the season sucked.
