YAY thank you, xará!! let’s get into the th–i mean, the asks
1. favourite place in your country?
i haven’t seen as much of it as i’d like but among the cities i have visited/lived in i think fortaleza (or ceará in general) might be my favorite. the food, the weather, the accent!!! everything about that city (and state) is just :’)
6. most hated song in your native language?
jfdkgsfhKJFDSGSF LISTEN i’m not one to hate on music because i understand not everything’s for me but i can’t deal with sertanejo most of the time (for those that don’t know, it’s the brazilian version of US country music - cowboy hats and boots included). i like some of it, some of the female artists are really good (simone e simaria whaddup) but yeah, not my cup of tea. i can’t even think of a specific song because i really don’t care enough about the genre to know one lol
11. favourite native writer/poet?
i’m an idiot and i don’t read that many national authors (i’m trying to change that i swear) but the little i read of caio fernando abreu quite literally took my breath away. that man’s writing resonates with me in a way no other writer does istg it’s my goal as a writer to impact people the way he impacted me. also, clarice lispector has some interesting stuff too, i’ve been reading her short stories lately (it’s all been translated to english btw check it out folks!)
(“hi, I’m not from the US” ask set)
