I& know this is like beating the dead horse at this point but I& still feel like Mur and Liz were never supposed to face reveal. Like okay even if they did not look chopped as hell in the S10 credits I& still feel like a huge appeal of the games is that you get to imagine all these people and events in your head from these one-off dialogues and abandoned notes. You chase someone you can never meet in-person, and I& think escaping into the empty expanse of dunes would have still been a cathartic ending.
After all, your goal was never "find Liz and Mur" - your goal was "escape the Submachine". Seeing them takes away from what the ending could have been, actually. Instead of getting the moment of pride and self-fulfilment and achievement, you just end up focusing on the "oh shit that's those two fucks damn they look different from how I imagined them".
Post prompted by the realization that Mur and Liz are probably goung to feature heavily in the new comic book and I&'ll have to once again face the reality that I& got too attached to my& redesigns
