Hi! Nice to see another Submachine fan on here!
If you don't mind me asking, what's your favorite chapter?
Hi! Likewise! I think there's only a handful of us active anymore, so it's always nice to find another fan! :D
That's a difficult question because I really like the game as a whole, but if I had to choose it would probably be chapter 7 because of all the new lore you learn plus the absolutely gorgeous aesthetics of the glowing plants. The introduction to portals and puzzles to access all the different areas of the game are great too, in my opinion.
Chapters 6 and 9 would be close followers tho! Like, the Edge... the feelings of doom and oppressiveness, of betrayal at having been abandoned and learning you're not the only one and all your predecessors are likely dead *chef kiss* very delicious, we love it. And the Temple is just really great to explore, and the vibes are really good. I love how the appearance of the pyramid changes the deeper you get into it.
I do have to say there's certain aspects of the game that I enjoyed better in the original flash games than the Legacy remaster (and the other way around! There's some changes/additions to the remaster that weren't in the originals that I greatly enjoyed. The remaster feels more like a sibling to than a replacement of the originals for me tbh), but I think my favourites would probably remain the same in both versions :3
Also, I did some live commentary on Legacy in my main blog the first time I played in case you're curious about it? Beware of the typos and my unhinged thoughts in real time xD
But anyway! Thank you so much for the ask and any Submachine enjoyers feel free to share about your favourite chapters as well! <3
