Car radio

For me it’s literally about those moments of silence, where you’re forced to look your blurryface dead in the eye and think about all those things you normally distract yourself. Its a big moment and its terrifying and great. But there’s one line that stands out to me “i could pull the steering wheel” It’s such a small mention of something like “sometimes death seems better than the migrane in my head” but it’s so big. I drive a lot so for me it means so much. Those moments where you just wanna take one movement and be gone. It’s a powerful song. Especially after seeing it last night live: it’s so powerful. Because it ends on a high note, somehow the fact that everyone is screaming their voices out with tyler on the balcony and just the power and it’s like “lets fight this together, get it alllll out” Sorry I got emotional. It was amazing live ok?

Truce

Truce to me is more of a religious type of song to me. Being someone who is religious I find that when they say, “The sun will rise and we will try again.” Means that everyday is a new day to change your ways or cleanse your soul in a sense. Following with, “you will die, but now your life is free..” I find that also is a religious allusion or reference implying the common belief that when you die here on earth, your soul becomes free in heaven. That being said, Truce is a rather short song expressing the daily struggles within their lives while keeping in mind that their souls will be free when they die and to basically not lose hope because everyday is a new day to improve. This was a wonderful way to conclude the album and it will always be one of my personal favorite songs from them. I realize that not everyone has the same beliefs as me and I’m not at all trying to convince anyone to convert. This is my own interpretation of Truce and how it connects to me on a spiritual level.

What does Goner by Twenty One Pilots mean to me?

My discovery of Twenty One Pilots was life saving. I cannot express the number of time that I listened to Migraine from Vessels. When I heard Goner off the new album I broke down into tears. Its rare to find a song that so accurately describes yourself and your life like Goner did for me. The verse “I’ve got two faces, blurry’s the one I’m not,” just speaks my life. It says to me that there are two sides of very person and the one everyone see’s is the one that is least you. The line is the voice of societal issue that very one faces. The issue being that you have to become a certain type of person to fit in to society’s standard of normal. Since the release of Blurryface I believe that I have started to become the true me and the blurry face has seem to disappear with the old fake front me.

Migraine is the song i completely relate to, beginning to end. it’s uncanny how much it describes me. the song is metaphorical but at the same time straight forward- you know exactly what tyler is talking about. it’s the fight of living with depression and suicidal thoughts. keyword: living. it’s expressing what it’s like to have to fight with your mind every day just to wake up and function. but it’s expressing that hope. “life has a hopeful undertone”

i love this song because it just perfectly describes what it’s like. it doesn’t sugar coat it and it doesn’t make it seem like the end of the world. it’s just real. it’s like, hi, i’m a person, and it’s hard for me to live because my mind is telling me not to, and that makes it hard, but i’m fighting, and i’m here, and i’m breathing.
