did something in Future make you change something on the history?

I have received this ask 6-7 times and honestly, I’ve been trying to format my words on this. 

But when I break down the plot I had in mind and the events that were going to lead to them the truth of the matter is; no it doesn’t.

If anything the events in Future paralleled some of my concepts already prior to the show’s release and were more confirmation of how I was interpreting the characters. 

Steven Universe Future was a show which portrayed Steven’s struggles with his own mental health and traumas from his childhood as a young adult while grappling with the concept of his humanity and at times lack thereof. The story with Gone Wrong is as much of an evolution of P!Steven’s growth in understanding what being ‘human’ means as much as it was for Steven. 

There are a few key moments in the plot that actually coincide with events in Future which gave me a laugh. Believe me, you’ll know when we get there. Though, ‘hospital’ is something I’ve already hinted about prior. 

They both experience troubles and will make mistakes based on prior experiences. 

How that influences P!Steven compared to how it did Steven is just something you’ll have to wait and see as the story progresses.
