Author note: this is my first time writing for AL-AN so hopefully this is close to canon. I have not played subnatica or subnatica below zero because well I’m Broke lol, but I have watched some gameplay through it and have some knowledge on who AL-AN is. I do hope I did interpret him right though. I find it sad that AL-ANs popularity is not that big anymore, look at them how could you not love them. I put more effort into this one so enjoy!! AL-AN will be using he/they. Reader is gender neutral for all readers to enjoy.
⋆⭒˚.⋆ - AL-AN is a soft spoken, reserved and intelligent being capable of speaking in gentle tones, carefully calculated and rich of precise words that smooth over intentions like a silk blanket that drapes over spikes of emotions that refuse to pierce through the silk. AL-AN is nimble and wise with his ability to communicate with you, gliding around questions that are left unanswered, slithering past accusations and with a flick of a snakes tongue, effortlessly flowing and gracefully swinging anything that is not of interests of him answering back at you.
⋆⭒˚.⋆- While AL-AN has a talent with words, human behaviour is quite new to him, alas making it difficult to understand at times. Even through the difficulties navigating through sarcasm to other factors of human interactions create some gaps in his knowledge of humans, he begins to gain a sense of understanding and a more natural and direct response to those circumstances over time. This makes it easier to form connections between you and him on a variety of topics that are considered important, intriguing or influential.
⋆⭒˚.⋆- AL-AN as intelligent and capable as they are, can be insensitive to some topics unknowingly. Comfort is not necessarily an uncommon nor unnatural language of connection to him, more so due to a lack of it, it is hard to proceed with comforting actions or receive them. Though he makes an effort to try even when you scream and push him away.
⋆⭒˚.⋆-AL-AN’s obsession with you stems from his craving for knowledge about you, curiosity consuming him more than he would like to admit. Soon after this follows the more obvious signs of obsession. The slow isolation, the constant stress of where you are and what you are around and the small but steadily growing physical affection. Eventually these develops into blatant isolation and confinement out of your control, manipulations and mental abuse beyond what you thought he was capable of.
⋆⭒˚.⋆- They are not delusional, they know exactly what they’re doing. How to melt you down and build you again just to smash you back down into a pitiful mess of insecurity and uncertainty. AL-AN knows he’s gone to far. But his morals are thin when it comes to you.
⋆⭒˚.⋆- AL-AN keeps you beside him almost all the time. And you’re not leaving until he’s satisfied with the knowledge he has of your kind (which frankly, is an excuse he tells himself). While he does not mind indulging in the arguments you put up, he will silence you when he becomes irritated or bored, like a zipper shutting and locking everything inside from the outside.
⋆⭒˚.•- AL-ANs got you wrapped tied to him. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
