A glance is thrown to her paperworkless table, a part of her ponders if her being up for accepting this task shoed in the 'workaholic' title she had been gifted by her peers. Perhaps, she did have a problem...but this ain't about her. Anzu stands up from her desk, nodding along as she listens to Hiyori speak. “Yeah, I can see how you'd be mad at him for that- I'll be your replacement for the day, then. I'm assuming you already have plans for today that you need help with?”

“Of course I have plans for today! It is rather important plans that I can share with you and Jun-kun! No one else so to say” As thus, Hiyori didn’t have time to wait for no one, even his proclaimed replacement assistant for today as he was on his way out of the office. “Our first stop is going to be to the bakery, because of Jun-kuns busy schedule, he forgot to bring my monday Quiche, so the whole day will be ruin if we don’t get that, our second stop is I need to get Mary some out door shoes and a stroller for when she gets tired so she can be comfortable instead of us carrying her, there for our first and last stop can be that I will skip Eve training, as revenge against Jun-kun! And we can go to a cafe instead.” And hopefully from here Hiyori is done with talking

Everyone is different, so everyone has different struggles and not everyone in the world will like you, it’s impossible to have that- but the people who do won’t change their minds on the matter,” Anzu sucks in a breath, she didn’t expect him to come to her for this- to admit anything like this to her, but she wants to help him the best she could, even if she and Hiyori weren’t particularly close. “Being too much for someone doesn’t mean you’re too much for everyone, being not enough for someone just means they haven’t seen you at your best yet. I believe in your abilities, senpai so you should too, after all, I’m just an observer- you’re the one who’d done so much already. Keep at it and you’ll see, the people who don’t like you, don’t really matter- the people who do like you do.”

     The words had, admittedly, slipped free subconsciously. What he assumed merely a passing thought, he’d muttered it without thinking. The words from the brunette caught him entirely off guard, though. He was surprised she offered him kindness after he wasn’t exactly the nicest person.

     “Showing me such kindness, Anzu-chan, what a surprise, yep yep!” He laughed at first, and the smile playing on his lips was, to a degree, his usual mask. “Are you this nice to everyone who shows some vulnerability? I wonder~ Though, your words are nice, I will admit... They make me think of something Nagisa-kun might tell me, and I do appreciate it~” The smile softened into something more sincere, and part of him wanted to reach out and pat her head, but he denied the urge. It might be a bit rude in the given circumstance.

“The fact we’re working with meat didn’t help that any either, did it, Koga?” their fingers are coated in red sauce, which was also splattered on a couple surfaces because of the fact they added the meat to the sauce a little too quick. “...Well, that’s fine, all I gotta do it clean it up and we’ll be grand, but keep an eye on the food so it doesn’t burn, okay?”

“Tch, damn right it didn’t!” came Koga’s retort with a snort, his kitchen apron, and part of his shirt, stained and smeared with the splattered tomato sauce. To some, the rich, deep red color would look no different from blood. “F---, we should’ve lowered the f---in’ flame down before we dunked that sucker in!”

It’s too late for that now, but at least they now have the hunk of meat simmering in the sauce; they only needed to wait until it’s partly done so they can add in the rest of the vegetables.

“What,” Koga pouted when he was put into watch duty, not agreeing with that decision. “Hell no, Anzu; you sit down, and I’ll clean up the f---in’ mess!” he declared while going to get the cleaning materials. Since he’d neglected something even a newbie would know, so it’s his fault, but he’s not saying that out loud.
