Found some great old trunks to transport [subset of the archive} for this summer's #ArtificialCorridors project. Going to carry a curio collection of representative samples of pollution, from sediment and soil gathered in the Buffalo River, Love Canal, Manhattan Project, to water samples from Scajaquada Creek and the recent BP oil spill in Lake Michigan, to slough of my own embodied perspective in the wastestream and pollution chain, like dust bunnies from under my bed and pet waste from my adorable pit bull. An image from last month, when parking lots around here were still covered in huge piles of hard-pack snow, ice, salt, oil, and other gunk. Collecting samples for this summer's #ArtificialCorridors project from the Buffalo Target parking lot as the runoff drains into combined sewer lines and, with so much rain, snow, and precipitation this spring, directly into Lake Erie and the Niagara River.
