Seles didn’t wake up for a while, but even when consciousness returned to her, she didn’t feel much better. She was tired and her head was hurting, and more than anything she wanted to be back home. But at the very least, this bed was comfortable, and the butler in the room reminded her so much of the Tokunaga that she knew that she couldn’t help but relax a bit.

“Ah, you’re awake.” He nodded his head to her when he noticed movement, walking a bit closer to the bed so she wouldn’t have to shift as much to see him. “If you need anything, just let me know. And you may contact your brother as well, if you wish.”

She thought for a moment about it- about the conversation she’d had with the other her, wondering what she’d feel. But... maybe, in some way, this could help her too. So she reached for her phone, and after a few moments, pulled up the texting app.

[TXT]: where are you? [TXT]: having a bad episode 🤒 [TXT]: can you come visit please? im safe, but can’t leave on my own [TXT]: [location data sent]

“Lady Seles, you have a visitor.”

“...I wasn’t expecting anyone. Who is it?”

“He, ah... well, perhaps you should hear for yourself.”

Seles gave Tokunaga a cautious stare, before sighing and going to the entryway of the manor. The person who showed up was... not exactly someone she would’ve expected to see walking around this district, put bluntly. Not to say he was a slob, or she was judging him (though she maybe was), but rather that he didn’t hold that general air about him that most people of ‘high society’ seemed to carry.

“Yes? Who are you, then?” Her eyes were cold, ever-cautious about someone new showing up. She doubted Tokunaga would ever try to trick her, he was the only person she could trust- but then, why wouldn’t he give her a straight answer? “I am Seles Wilder. I presume you wished to speak with me.”

This scene is one so familiar to him at this point he executes it like clockwork, hand sliding over the doorknob of Fiala’s apartment and twisting it gently. The difference this time, though, is that a loud ‘clunk!’ answers him. The doors locked, for once. Looking at the state of this alternate Spirale, he can’t say he’s surprised.

But why was he here? L’uca had of course, heard word that you were supposed to arrive to this world in the home of your alternate self. It should’ve been easy, then, to find him. But L’uca had arrived at Fiala’s house, and that’s more than a little concerning.

“Hey, Fiala, could you open up?”

Ever since her other self had shown up here, things had been far more hectic for Seles than they’d been in years. First was the younger girl herself, then was seeing her brother again- and then a surprise that had outweighed even that in Lloyd Irving. 

So in some ways, it wasn’t a surprise that she was surprised once more with a visitor, the young lady looking up at Kratos Irving with a frown on her face.

“Hello. I have another visitor, I see.” She doubted this was going to be a conversation she wanted to have, but she saw no point in pushing it off to later either. “What brings you here today, and in person this time?”

Even with monsters over the city and their alternate selves having landed here, business workings never seemed to stand still. That was the only reason Seles could imagine for Regal Bryant to arrive at her doors, sighing and going to meet with him when Tokunaga informed her of the visitor- and carefully eyeing the younger version of Regal as well.

“I can’t say I was expecting visitors today. What brings you here?” Perhaps she’d had some reconciliations of her own, but that didn’t mean she was going to ease up in terms of her business. “We can discuss any business in the parlor. Will... he be joining us?”

It wasn’t unusual for the younger Link to find people who looked like him- he was fairly used to it, at this point. That there was just a lot of hylians named Link who looked like him was honestly something expected- though, he hadn’t really expected to run into a new one here. But that wouldn’t stop the kid from jumping down from the overhang in the barn, landing on a pile of hay and hopping out.

‘Hi! Are you a Link?’ An odd question to ask for sure, but not something that struck the child as out of the usual.

The elder was a bit surprised, but not for the reasons one might’ve expected- rather, this stranger looked an awful lot like someone he knew... who did happen to have the same name as him. What were the odds, right? Though, it might’ve just been coincidence.

“I’m- we’re Link.” Shrugging, he gestured for the other to enter the barn. The ranch owners wouldn’t mind a third freeloader, probably. ‘We’re just resting up here a bit before heading back out to help deal with more of those monsters. Can I help you?’

“Hey!” Link was known as a man of few words among members of the Spirale Defense Force, but he still tended to keep an easygoing attitude whenever he was off the ranch and around others. He waved a greeting to the Barry he knew, but one ear twitched from a distant sound- something was coming. “Ready?”

‘Of course.’ The younger Link nodded, a confident smile on his face as he looked between the older him, and the two Barrys. ‘Don’t be embarrassed if I teach you something new. That goes for you both, too.’

Cosmo found themself in the Golden Ward, but something was off. People seemed...older. The sound of a garage door opening reaches their ears. They turn around to see a teenager who looks like them, but older.

“Who are you?” They ask.

The teenager turns around and says “I’m you, but human. Were you transported from your own world into this alternate universe?”

Cosmo tilts their head. “Yeah, I have. But, what’s going on here? 

The teenager replies. “I’m not certain myself, but from what the news broadcasts say, it sounds serious. The fact of your presence is no surprise either. We were told about your arrival a week prior to what’s going to happen.”

Cosmo sighs. “I know, so, how are we going to survive this little game then?”

Teenage Cosmo looks at them to reassure them everything will be fine. “To what I’ve heard, this doesn’t seem like a game, this seems to be something much worse. But if we stick together, we’ll be fine, okay?”

Cosmo squeezes their arm in a bit of fear, but loosens their grip after that comment. “Okay, I guess we’ll be alright.” They stand close to their human, teenage self, scared of what might happen, but also curious about the new universe they found themselves in.
