// SUBSYNC + Quickscan Guide — preliminary designs
The newest addition to the Signal Protocols ecosystem: A physical SubSync video clamshell and its growing set of loose film inserts.
Each insert pairs a CRT scene still with a caption fragment.
Python command to launch the SRT file included — plus a Quickscan QR for instant playback without typing.
The Quickscan Guide sheet is your shortcut map to Ezra’s library: scan to trigger scripts from Signal Protocols (v1.2), whether it’s running subtitles, printing expressions, or asking Ezra to simulate APD.
It’s part archive, part interface layer — turning barcode scanning into an unexpectedly elegant control system for the Interpreter. The scanner was meant as a small experiment… but quickly became one of the most intuitive ways to navigate the machine.
Photos here show early print tests. Final designs will include actual CRT scene captures to replace placeholder stills — locked in static, distortion, and caption delay.
