When I was at the La Luz concert at Subterranean in Chicago last month, something unusual happened. During and intermission between bands, the venue was playing recorded music and clubs normally do. However, one of the songs they played was Trouble Every Day from The Mothers Of Invention first album, Freak Out! In all the Rock Music shows I’ve been to, that was a first for me. It is rare to here Frank Zappa’s music played on the radio or anywhere else, so it was a special moment. So in honor of the release of the Frank Zappa documentary, Eat That Question, and with a tip of the hat to Subterranean, I’m kicking off the weekend with Trouble Every Day.
