I’ve realized I find comfort in the subtlest of companionships. Such as a plant (or many) & quiet (mostly) cats. their presence makes me feel less alone, but don’t necessarily overwhelm me with sounds or lots of motion. (I still love dogs & would love a dog companion some day, but for now. I feel at home surrounded by subtleness.
