Contrasts in modern times Urbania's Suburbania...
Yesterday evening I had to wait at a traffic light. I were in what they call 'Europaviertel'. This area were full of tracks before. It was a freight yard, a goods station in former times (Güterbahnhof). I do not know, where they transport those goods now. Maybe on the streets... However, the tracks are gone, the whole area is planted with new style houses - big, cheap built, expensive to live in, and made to make cities all over the world similar. 'Europaviertel' is one of those inner urban suburbanias, where you may feel more loneliness, than any desert has to offer. But people seem to like it. More and more are going there, playing a role, given to them by their food masters. They feed them fine, those new food masters. They offer them a lot. Like Mephistopheles did his offer to Faust. But Faust knew, what he did, even if he didn't FEEL the whole thing first. People in modern times Suburbania often offer or give their souls without ever having recognised that they had a soul...
Living in modern times Suburbania - here: 'It ain't no better, they've making it worse...' ('Stick Together' - Frank Zappa, album 'The Man from Utopia')... or: Ugliness, shown exquisitely at this place at Butzbach railway station...
