On August 23rd, 2039, during an event held to raise money for a safe haven where youth are encouraged to participate in arts and education, A Place Called Home, at Castle Gould in New York, something happened. Of course, something was going to happen. With the entire audience immersed in a theatrical event whipped up by the charity and some of the children within the program, most people were expecting something interesting to happen. People were dressed to the nines; the performers and the guests, decked out in 1920s attire. They knew the night was going to be an eventful one.
But when a young girl was found dead in the study room, with a nasty, blood-caked wound to the head, they weren't so sure that's what they had in mind when they signed up for this. That girl? Devin Lopez.
Those who are aware a crime has been committed are on high-alert, attempting to piece together what happened before they can figure out what to do next. They've gathered up enough information to narrow down the list of suspects; Judith Duval, Bryan Murphy, Emma Anderson-Smythe, Declan Lopez, Lucas Anderson-Smythe, and Dexter Lynn. Can they be sure, though? Maybe Judith was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and just because Bryan is moody as hell sometimes doesn't mean he’s a murderer. Emma’s operating with pregnancy brain right now, and she’s capable of God-knows-what. Declan might be jealous that his twin sister has one-upped him yet again. Dexter Lynn doesn’t know how to speak to women properly and is probably lacking where it counts in the sack, but those men don't always end up killing, do they? And Lucas? It’s always the boyfriend.
