“A Picasso? Da Vinci? Van Gogh? You’ve called the right guy if you don’t know!”
--- Subversion AU Lupin III
Arsène Lupin---no relation to the thief guy.
The Third? No, he’s numero uno!
A man of many talents.
Went to college for a very long time, was top of his class.
Majored in Art History, minored in Gemology, and has a fascination with Archaeology. He also has a deep love of World History.
Definitely not a thief.
Art Authentication Expert/Appraiser. Dabbles in Jewelry Appraisal, as well. Buys and sells gold and silver jewelry.
Wears reading glasses only when reading documentation.
Still wears bright jacket colors.
Owns an appraisal business called “WOLF’S APPRAISALS, LTD.”
Also restores paintings, and by request, will make accurate reproductions.
Sometimes collects paintings for his own collection, but once bored of it, will sell the painting to the highest bidder.
Has a serious distaste for violence, prefers to think things through.
Still a smoker, some habits just don’t die, even when rewritten.
Was considered a child prodigy for his gifted intelligence. Breezed through school and skipped grades. College was easy.
Still as zany, eccentric and energetic as always, perhaps even more so.
Has a thrill-seeking side that he tries to hide, but occasionally goes on archaeological digs to fulfill his need for adventure.
Considered world-renown for his accomplishments. Loved and hated everywhere.
Sometimes, he is a guest speaker for colleges and universities.
Essentially, Lupin is a busybody, constantly digging his nose into books and research, learning more and more about the things he loves. Museums love him for his ability to authenticate rare, unseen paintings. And as a bit of a historian, Lupin enjoys learning about everything he can. One may find him out at an auction house, a library or the nearby museums. Occasionally, he’ll appear at a bar or a winery, usually in the evenings.
Consider this a plotter and starter call as well!
