new max headcanon alert ⚠️
maxs dad got his mom a dog to try to appease maxs mom and he bought what he thought would be a cute tiny little puppy. this puppy was not that. instead she was a GIANT fluffy grey dog. his mom wasnt very good at names so max was granted permission to name her. being in like 8 and super into avatar(his dad hated that), he chose the name katara. once he gets older and starts going full nerd hatred he only refers to her as kat in public, so people think the name is supposed to be funny (kat = cat but shes the most dog to ever dog) max takes katara on runs with him all of the time. she also fully sleeps on top of him despite being like 100lb that girl thinks shes a lap dog and max is waking up with her hair in his mouth. max tried to train katara to be an attack dog but she was not having it shes just a little sweety. anyways yeah thats my max pet headcanon. maybe ill do a grace one even tho ive written a bit about her pet before.
