And it takes place during the final required action flashback in chapter 16 of Amalgamate, so the fic definitely contains spoilers if you're not caught up yet. But the fic is fantastic, so if you're an Amalgamate fan, you should totally check it out!! It's visceral and super angsty, and it's a great look into Kokichi's mind during that final day

Happy Fanfic Writer Friday (#FFWF)! Do you outline your story before writing it? How far are you willing to stray from that outline?

Jesus fuck, yes I do. Most of my WIPs are like 95% outlines of long-ass fics I’m never gonna actually write. The few one-shots I’ve actually posted had little planning, just a vague idea of where I wanted it to go, as the inspiration tends to come from songs or quotes. For those, I’ll write that at the bottom of the document so I can always see it. 

I don’t know about straying per se, but I’ll edit the shit out of an outline if I feel the need to. Last year, I think, I spent about three days editing a BBC Merlin fic outline because I wanted to introduce something, but I didn’t feel like it could just come out of nowhere, so I had to edit about four documents (haven’t even started writing it tho 😭😭).
