I was looking through an old save file of SuchArt from 2023 today and found this.
I have no memory of making this, and I think it’s really cutie despite the quality. So, I figured I’d post it since it made me happy to find it. :]

some of my favorite paintings that i did today-uh nevermind it's already past midnight- that i did yesterday in suchart!
(the titles under the paintings are what the game generated as the prompt)
i really enjoyed doing the last one bc it was a request from a rawr xD type girl and my character sounded very annoyed to have to make it for her but as a fellow weirdo i loved it
Me doing some shit in such art XD
How to get nice pictures in SuchArt!: ..........cheat.
The eyebleed was real for this playthrough, which was technically quick until I decided to try repainting everything in the main room black. As predicted (aka observed in Nana-chan’s creative game), the framerate tanked the more stuff got repainted, and weirdly enough, it’s almost like it has the most problems when looking towards the VR machine. But I don’t think that’s it, after messing around a lot, because it’s more likely that looking that direction from far enough away just loads a large amount of customized textures into view and wrecks performance.
Think I’m done with this game for now... over-done, honestly don’t know why I spent as long as it took to repaint all that but it was partly vague curiosity over looking through the save folder afterwards, as this isn’t a save I’m afraid of corrupting. I can change textures by hand via editing the .png files but lost interest pretty quickly. The communications room ceiling was MSPaint fuchsia briefly. XD
Well, that was quick. Decided to make Yage my crabby-siding SuchArt! playthrough, and the only painting where he didn’t use some form of blue paint (not counting black and white) is his endgame masterwork. Tool used the most? The sponge. So much sponge. Technically Yage is my alien OC so it made sense to use him for this achievement run, nevermind the game lore gives him a human sister and keeps calling him human. Adoption, or something.
Anyone who thinks Yage is a hack, raise your hand! Yage... honey... put your hand down.
More SuchArt! from two different achievement-hunting games. Humanitas (first two pics, though the big painting got trashed because it didn’t fit the character vibe) sided with humans, and was a rather vulgar playthrough that was mostly crudely-drawn dicks on canvas, hence the more tame creations shown. IDK, it was a weird day. And a lot of dicks.
The rest of the pics are from Seth who sided with his new robot overlords, and the final pic is his endgame masterwork of robotness. He has a kinda cute simplified stick-figure style along with some cheeseball spraypaint circles, the latter of which was mostly for making money on the marketplace. I actually tried to do the majority of what people asked for this time, including the Putrid Sabbat logo and the starting unicorn commission.
Now... to figure out who’s gonna paint for the crabbies. XD
SuchArt! Or so they say. Ita’s custom room probably won’t get much more customized due to the framerate issues that build up the more stuff gets customized, but the virtual gallery is very slowly cycling through the stuff I’ve liked the most or found the most fun and/or interesting to produce.
At this point I’m mostly just waiting for the 10,000 gallery visitors achievement to pop. Wish there was some kind of indication on progress there... but then, max capacity per in-game day is 100 people, so that’s roughly 100 days (not counting the days that were lower visits before hitting the cap). Gonna be a while... or a long session of AFKing the game, which I might end up doing because at some point being limited to abstract art does get old after a while (not just from being mouse-based but thumb-controlled trackball is even more challenging).
Messed around in a creative-mode game of SuchArt! where I finally figured out how useful the big paint spreader is, but also discovered something that happens with this much customizing of the studio space: the framerate tanks. Also found an amusing glitch with the paint spreader tube slot when it’s empty, it ignores that a window is painted and shows the outside scenery like a messed-up greenscreen. Early access is early access.
I’m kinda glad I did this in creative mode so that Ita’s game isn’t hampered by the framerate drop, not that I really seem to be doing much useful in his game anymore either. Abstract art works well enough, but anything like fine-tuned drawing is an exercise in frustration. ‘Course, without hooking up a tablet and making the game work with it, that might always be an issue.
