Hawke had come to identify herself with Morrigan a bit, though perhaps it was because of her own secluded cynicism. After working so hard for many years to elevate herself and her family into the higher tiers of society all the while looking after any who came to her doorstep, none wished to do the same for her. And why should they? It wouldn't benefit them in any way. Now that she had looked back on her decisions and on the world itself, she began to wonder it had been fate.
She had never discussed such things with Morrigan, however in a way she felt that she simply knew these things. For that, she'd been thankful, so she showed her thanks as best as she possibly could by leaning in and pressing a kiss against her cheek despite her immediate protest and possible withdrawal. "You've taught me more than you know," she began to clarify, "and for that, I'm eternally grateful."
