Hi :) I really wanna cosplay as Harley Quinn in HQ's Revenge but I have no clue where to start with the costume! How did you make the boots and top?
oh yes hello! I have never had someone comment on my cosplay before so wow thank you!
The boots were just a plain, cheap pair of black boot covers I got at an after Halloween sale. I then painted on the red and the outlines of black using red outdoor paint and black puffy paint (lolz). I would play around with the paint though because even though it didn’t flake off it was super tacky and would stick to itself and cause all kinds of problems.
The top is actually two different parts. First is the black tank top. Again just a cheap plain one. I then used the red outdoor paint again (because im actually a lazy shit) to paint the red lines. I just sketched them on with the shirt right on my body so I knew it would look right. Then I sewed some buttons on and boom shirt.
The corset is actually a red corset with a cover on it. I just made a sleeve with the seams/paneling to match the corset so it would fit and I am super prroud of it but damn was it a bitch to make. I would highly recommend just getting a black corset.
Any other parts of the costume you want me to talk about please let me know! Just keep in mind if the costume isn’t an exact replica of the one in the game that is so totally okay so don’t stress over the teeny details!
