*grumbles* If I have to hear the word "no" one more time-
Julian, your son wants to be held.

Be yourself. I'm sure he's used to it by now. *smiles at him*
Being back at the school is.... different. It's like there's something missing every time she comes here. Or perhaps it's different in that she's never alone when she comes here. Being a liaison between SHIELD and the Institute is awkward, albeit difficult, with Kiden cooing happily in his stroller, but she manages a happy balance and does it well. He’s calm today, small blessings. Chewing on his shoe (which confounds Laura to no end), but at least he’s happy, contorted into an odd curve that doesn’t seem to bother him at all. Not a single screech out of him yet, but she doesn’t say anything for fear of jinxing the situation.
The meeting has long since ended, and Laura walks the grounds, newly reconstructed, pushing the stroller ahead of her. Kiden enjoys it outside, much like she does, no matter what the weather, and it’s beautiful this time of year. Anything to keep her busy before she has to go back to the room she’s staying at. It’s still in the area, but she enjoys the small sense of familiarity here.
