hey I was curious on where the apology was for when seven seasons screwed up and accidentally used the old mixtape with the n word instead of the new one. thanks <33

I’m assuming that you’re talking about this apology here. The apology was in response to a letter written by the INTL BBC community to Seven Seasons company regarding the inappropriate actions regarding black culture.

There wasn’t a mention about the use of the ‘n’ word in Zico’s ver of ‘I’m Still Fly” in the letter, but there was a change made later at Block B’s 1st Solo Concert: Block Buster. Zico performed the song using “baby” instead, while also paying tribute to a BBC lost in the Sewol tragedy. 

I don’t know if there has been a recent apology from Seven Seasons regarding the recent incident with this song at Freestyle Day 2014 (140802). Zico did perform his original ver of the song with the backtrack using the ‘n’ word. The issue regarding the ‘n’ word and it’s use saddens us.

We don’t have any information on who handles the preparation made for Freestyle Day, the DJ, or if the company has any say in what happens with Zico's appearances at underground shows, so we can’t say anything for sure.

I’m assuming that the original version was used because of the other one had arrangements made for the tribute to the victim of the Sewol accident, but I don’t know if this is true.

We understand that it is problematic, and it’s such a pity that it wasn’t avoided.
