Hii Melody!! 🥰💕 I just wanted to drop by and say one thing I really love about your blog is how straight forward and direct the information is!! You have to shift through A LOT of sugarcoating when it comes to most tarot blogs on here and I was wondering how do you feel about that from the perspective of a reader?
For me personally, I understand people can be really sensitive but it just makes information harder to understand. They’ll use a thousand words and metaphors but not really say anything…?
hi 🩷 thank you!
this is a very interesting question 🫣 but honestly i think there’s a place in this world and community for sugarcoaters, my main problem with sugarcoaters is they’re never honest about the fact that they sugarcoat (though i guess this falls in line with their whole brand of light dishonesty lol).
personally, it’s not what i’m here for and my cards, spirit guides, higher self (whatever you want to believe in) simply won’t even let me operate that way - i can only spread the truth and my readings (including my pick a cards and personal readings) are only for truth seekers. but there are definitely some people who need the strong cushioning of sugarcoated readings - whether they stay there or slowly ease themselves into harsher truths is something for them to figure out on their own life journeys.
however, that being said, it is something that can be unfortunate to see in celebrity readings (or readings that deal with the public at large). when it comes to celebrities, a reader 100% knows that there is a large portion of people who are only seeking out readings to hear what they want to hear, fantasise and daydream etc. so in this sense i actually find sugarcoaters to be almost downright deceptive at times. it’s basically feeding fanficfion to people who already have problematic parasocial relationships.
and when readers only sprinkle the truth in celebrity readings, or word the truth in a poetic, vague way i do agree that it makes information harder to understand. anyone who reads knows it’s already hard enough to translate exactly what you’re seeing, so to purposely fluff it up and word it more confusingly just seems cowardly (especially when you know so many people read so literally too - why even do the reading at all?). also side note, i personally believe as a reader the more dishonest you become (withholding information, sugarcoating) the harder it becomes to get honesty in your readings.
however… readings are only for entrainment purposes so there’s only so much you can really complain. in the end, truth seekers will find truth tellers 🩷
