"i can't believe people really think we actually hate each other," cue the shake of her head, the mischievous smirk that curls at the corners of her mouth. although she could barely believe it, she had to say it made their situation a whole lot more fun. without another word, she crawls closer to them then, pressing a kiss at the corner of their mouth. "kind of fun, though...you think it means hate sex could be on the cards?"

"congratulations," his beam is wide, but not particularly convincing - if you know him, at least. his heart aches, but the last thing he wants to do is dim their shine. it's exciting news, for them, even if it's heart wrenching for him. all he feels is regret. that he didn't tell them of his feelings sooner. that despite all his risky behaviour, he didn't take this risk. a risk that could've made him happier than he ever thought possible. "the ring is...it's beautiful." his smile softens, and though his sadness remains potent, the expression is far more genuine than it had been seconds before. "you must uh - you must be so excited..." he adds on for good measure, as one hand rubs anxiously against the back of his neck.
