Enjoy the flavors of teriyaki sauce without the added sugars and carbs. This keto and paleo-friendly version uses coconut aminos and keto-friendly sweeteners to create a delicious sauce perfect for marinating meats or as a stir-fry sauce.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup coconut aminos. 1/4 cup water. 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 1 tablespoon keto-friendly sweetener such as erythritol or monk fruit. 1/2 teaspoon arrowroot powder optional, for thickening.
Instructions: In a small saucepan, combine coconut aminos, water, apple cider vinegar, garlic, ginger, and keto-friendly sweetener. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. If desired, whisk in arrowroot powder to thicken the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool before using. The sauce will thicken slightly as it cools. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
