Do you prefer cold or allergy sneezes?

This is a bit of a dilemma for me, and I’m curious if anyone else feels the same. I’m really into colds in fictional scenarios - I love reading about them, fantasizing about caring for someone who's sick, and watching somebody with a cold sneeze over video call/Skype is my ultimate fantasy (as they are far away enough for me to not have to worry about the consequences 🤣).

BUT in real life, I’m a total germaphobe who hates getting sick, so my fear of illness usually overshadows any enjoyment. What I’m actually into is the idea of someone sneezing from a safe distance, where I don’t have to worry about catching anything lol. I’m still figuring this out, but I’m leaning towards enjoying cold sneezes in a role-play setting. Like with most kinks, it’s all about consent and keeping it controlled. I definitely don’t want to get sick or make anyone else sick. That said, I’m a caring person, so if my partner were unwell, I’d want to take care of them, but it’s more from a caring perspective than a sexual one.

Allergy sneezes are great because I can enjoy them without worrying about needing to take a week off work.

Probably not because coughing isn’t something that really appeals to me lol.. But also because of the fact that although my sneezes may be cute I cough like an old man and I doubt anyone would to hear that 🤣

But what if you were forced to go into work while sick and ended up sneezing while holding something, like in the scenario you mentioned that you yourself enjoying watching? In that case, you’d be potentially spreading your cold to others. So I’m not sure why you think it’s irresponsible.

What!? 👀 First of all, I’d do everything in my power to stay home and work remotely or call in sick if I absolutely had to go into the office. If I’m FORCED to be there, I’ve already done everything I can to minimize risk, so the situation is out of my hands.

And yes, I mentioned that witnessing an accident like that could be hot, but let’s be clear: accidents are, by definition, unintentional. There’s a world of difference between an accidental sneeze and someone deliberately spreading their germs to make others sick. I’m not kink-shaming here—if that’s your fantasy, fine, just keep it as a fantasy. What’s unacceptable is actively going out and deliberately infecting others, especially those who might be immune-compromised or dealing with serious health issues.

If you absolutely must indulge in that fantasy, find someone who is also into it and can give their consent. What you don’t do is go out and impose it on random people who didn’t ask for it and might be vulnerable. That’s not just irresponsible; it’s straight-up cruel.

So you’ve never given a cold to someone?

I mean, it’s definitely possible, but certainly not on purpose. If I’m feeling under the weather, I always give a heads-up and let people decide if they’re cool with the risk. I wash my hands like a maniac after sneezing and sanitize everything, but let’s be real—being in close proximity means there’s still a tiny chance of catching something. I’m pretty sure some of my exes caught colds from me, but that’s because they were still game to sleep in the same bed, cuddle or take part in other more x-rated activities. I’ve got a strict no-kissing or drink-sharing rule when I’m sick and do my best to keep others from getting sick. But sometimes, just being close is enough. I try to keep the risk low by staying out of public when I’m unwell and working from home if I can. No one’s told me I made them sick besides my exes (and it’s pretty difficult not to when you live together), so if it happened, it’s news to me.

I think there’s a big difference between informing people that you’re sick and letting them decide if they’re okay with the risk, versus deliberately doing things to make someone else sick without their consent. The latter is not only grossly irresponsible but also pretty grim, to be honest.

What I mean is how do you feel about the aspect of deliberately trying to catch a cold/pass on a cold to somebody?

Oh, I get it. I suppose there’s a certain thrill to the idea of being close to someone with a cold, like a little flirtation with danger. But I think if someone’s deliberately trying to spread it, that’s just downright nasty. I’ve always found it incredibly rude when someone shows up to a meeting or event with a cold and doesn’t give you a heads-up. It’s only fair to let people know so they can decide if they’re willing to take that risk. Personally, I’d never want to pass on a cold to somebody else, the idea of making someone else feel miserable would make me feel absolutely horrible so no that definitely isn’t something I would be into.
