Hi, so umm, I saw this soulmates au post from @sugarskies (and their reply about how it could end) earlier today and my brain got carried away and I wrote the confession ending/getting together part??
(sugar, if you were planning to write more of this idea, I can totally take this down. It was your post so I don't want to step on your toes! Just lmk! I seriously don't mind)

"I love you, bob"
Bob had to stare at the words on his wrist for a long time. They weren't fading--John wasn't wiping the writing off, removing his words to take them back. He didn't regret it. He must have meant it.
Bob turned to the table he was sitting next to, relived to find a pen there. He scribbled below the four words, perhaps could have given a kinder reply, but right now he was too curious for anything else:
How did you find out it was me?
It took a long moment, the words appearing letter by letter.
You left a sketchpad open in the kitchen. I'd recognize those doodles anywhere.
John even drew a heart at the end of the sentence. A heart. Bob's breath hitched.
He wrote what he'd written multiple times, before he even knew John:
I'm sorry.
John's reply was instant. Why?
Bob wrote in a hurry, his handwriting messy, the lines of their conversation filling up his forearm.
You already know. Because I'm a shitty soulmate. I wouldn't ever see you before. My life is a disaster. You deserve better.
It took a minute for John to start writing.
It's funny, I thought the same thing for you. I know I'm far from perfect, and that's putting it kindly. I thought you stopped drawing because you didn't want it to be me, and I could understand why.
Bob sniffled, shaking his head to the empty room. Maybe he should have said more, but all he could focus on was one point that John had said.
You are perfect.
I'm not.
You are to me.
Bob tried to steady his breathing, but his anxiety grew the longer he stared at his arm, almost down to his elbow crease in writing, waiting for John to say something, anything.
When he did, it was all in a rush:
I thought you didn't want me. I don't know why I didn't get it, why even after you used to be afraid when we hadn't met, why I hadn't realized now that--thigh.
Bob furrowed his brow, confused for a moment, until he realized John had run out of space. Quickly, he shoved down his pants, sitting in the arm chair in his briefs and staring as John's writing continued to appear on his thigh,
Why I hadn't realized now that it was the same. I thought with how we get along, how close I thought we had become...when you stopped drawing, I thought you must not want me that way. But you were afraid I wouldn't want you? Is that it? That's not true, I love you, Bob, please. I--where are you? Please.
Bob ran his fingertips over the words, in near disbelief at them. Sniffling again, he finally answered,
Library.
There was no more writing. Bob didn't expect there to be. He knew John well enough to know that he wouldn't waste anymore time.
Still, Bob jumped a little when he heard the door open and shut. It was only as John rounded the corner, his pale blue eyes landing on him and going a little wide, that Bob remembered he'd shed himself of his pants in order to read the messages. Sitting in his oversized hoodie and briefs, he thought about covering himself with a blanket, but he didn't bother. He knew John knew why, and he couldn't bring himself to hide the words still on his leg.
John walked over to him slowly. Once in front of Bob's chair, he dropped to his knees. He moved closer to Bob slowly, giving him time to stop him if he wanted to, but he didn't want to. He let John move to his thigh with the words written on it, and place a kiss to the skin where his confession lay.
Bob's breath hitched. He was trembling as John looked up at him, and he was shocked to fine John's eyes were welling with tears.
"I never thought I'd get to meet you," John whispered, his voice thick and a little shaky. He swallowed hard, "I've mourned you multiple times. I thought I lost you before I even had the chance to love you."
Bob barely realized that tears had started falling down his cheeks. "I'm so sorry, John."
"I'm not asking for an apology," John said. His rested his face against Bob's thigh. "I'm asking if you'll let me love you."
Bob closed his eyes to compose himself, more tears falling. And then he nodded. Sniffled, coughed, or maybe it was a laugh. A mixture of joy and disbelief. "Yes. Please, John, I love you, too. Please love me."
John broke into a smile, and he moved swiftly, reaching up to cup Bob's cheeks, wiping away his tears before he kissed him. Bob did his best to kiss him back, and when it was too hard, he just hugged John. Pushed himself out of the chair, wrapped his arms around John's shoulders and legs around John's waist, and buried his face in his neck.
"I love you," Bob repeated, with a laugh. "I'm sorry it took so long but I love you."
John held him tight. "I love you too. I'm just glad you're safe and you're here."
Bob closed his eyes, breathing in John. He was, too.
Hi, I think I got blocked by @sugarskies who does absolutely stunning sentryagent content, and I don't know why, I read their posts every morning like the newspaper and I absolutely love their work, I posted a couple of comments supporting them and I remember them responding positively? Also their bob doing the dishes fic is literally one that I reread almost everyday, I LOVE IT
(even though I was not a sentryagent fan at the beginning, and I don't really like John in the MCU but their version of his character are SO GOOD that they changed my outlook on the character completely).
maybe I posted something that they didn't like? Or I don't know, but I hope I can go back to reading their work one day, although I understand if they would rather I don't and I respect entirely their decision. If anyone knows what happened, or how I can apologize and change my behavior please let me know!
