Gratulerer med dagen, Eirík!
[/What's that noise that could be heard behind the door? Could this be barking? A courier arrived at Eirík's place with his birthday gift from Sigurd - a puppy, just like requested. Little dog is really lively and seems friendly and healthy.]
[/There is a little note attached to this huge blue, red and white ribbon on dog's collar.]
"Gleðilegan þjóðhátíðardag, Eirík! I hope I got this right and that you'll like your new friend. It's a male, will grow up to be a wonderful companion for sure."
[/And there is also a text message sent as if Sigurd could exactly predict the time of arrival of the courier.]
[TXT: Eirík] Til hamingju með afmælið! I'm sorry I can't "give" you this little boy personally. Come July I'll be back home, feel free to drop by!
*It took literally everything in his ability not to freak out in front of the courier at the sight of the little dog, and he managed to contain himself to take the puppy and bring it inside, settling down on the couch with the fluffy furball sat on his lap, it's bright blue eyes staring back up at him.*
*The note was the next thing that caught his attention. Removing it from the ribbon, he read with a ghost of a smile forming on his features.*
... Male, huh? ... You need a name...
*his attention drifted from the note, lowering his hands back to his lap and allowing the puppy to lightly gnaw on his fingers, he gazed about absently, deep in thought as he tried to rack up every Icelandic name he could think of.*
*... Aaaand was soon interrupted by his phone ringing in his jean pocket. With a soft sigh, he removed it, checking who was texting him this time. Sigurd. Giving a snort of laughter, he keyed a reply.*
[Text: Sigurd] Takk! :) No hard feelings, I still can't believe you didn't actually go back on your word. Thanks though, really. Though if you want to see this little guy you will have to come here, just saying.
*Unfortunately, his train of thought had been disrupted. A name may have to wait just a little longer. At least this way he can figure out the pup's personality.*
