Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ عنه: The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) was the best of people in character. I had a brother whose name was Abu ‘Umayr. He said, I think he was weaned, and when he (the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) came he would say, “O Abu Umayr, what happened to the nughayr (a small bird that he kept as a pet)?” . Nughayr was a small bird. Abu ‘Umayr was Sayyiduna Anas’s رضي الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ عنه younger brother. He had taken up Nughayr as a pet and used to love it dearly. Unfortunately, the Nughayr died and Abu Umayr was devastated. When Our Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم came to visit them, he tried to lift his spirits up by joking with him about his little birdie. The Prophet, صلى الله عليه وسلم said: 'o abu ‘umayr! what did the nughayr do?’ . . The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was the most compassionate person towards children. he gave them special and careful consideration and considered whatever may be beneficial for them. it was narrated that anas, may allaah be pleased with him, said, “I never saw anyone who was more compassionate towards children than the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم.” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim] #HeIsMuhammadﷺ . . اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنَا أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ عَلَيهِ وَصَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يُصَلَّى عَلَيهِ . Allahumma salli `ala Sayyidina Muhammadin kamaa amartana an nusalliya `alayhi wa salli `ala Sayyidina Muhammadin kamaa yambaghi an yusallaa `alayh. . .
