Suhail (λ Velorum) is solitary orange supergiant star about 545 light years from Earth. It is the third-brightest star in Vela, the Sails. Its name comes from the Arabic phrase Suhail al Wazn which might roughly mean "the star seems to rise with difficulty from the horizon." Maybe.
