Suigetsu's head cants to one side, brow creased in with worry. " Bud, what's got ya' thinkin' that? "

Could be a multitude of things. It's not exactly like Ol' Orochimaru's high standards inspire self-confidence, but this was one of his boys, that's ought to be mean something, right?

After a bit of time Karin would emerge from her lab. Having retreated there when she had felt the familiar Uchiha's chakra signature approaching. Deciding to lock herself in her lab and pretend she simply wasnt there Karin avoided speaking with anyone until she couldn't feel Sasuke's chakra in the compound anymore. Still, it didn't mean he was entirely gone so as she quietly walked down the hall and entered the room Suigetsu occupied her eyes were darting around seeking and searching as if in a panic despite how her body language remained calm otherwise. " Is he gone? " Karin asked bluntly, her tone portraying how little she was actually paying attention to Suigetsus current state. || @uzumakichcined

Suigetsu's soul rattled with malcontent. Every time that damned Uchiha stepped foot near him, his body takes to its own prejudice and morality, fueling itself with an agitation he always wanted to believe left him. His shoulders always wound tight, pulled taut like a fishing reel when those dismissive, nonchalant remarks are unlovingly stabbed into their thin conversations.

Sasuke soon dismissed himself, claiming to be on business with Orochimaru and never anything more, allowing Suigetsu to slacken his shoulders just enough before another person invaded his territory.

" Yeah, gone like always. Fucked off to wherever Orochimaru is right now," the Hozuki turned heel to face his teammate here, tone abrasive equal to hers. " If you wanted to talk to him, yer outta' luck. "

" You know, I really don't like comin' o'er here, " Suigetsu drawls with a sigh and a groan and all disagreeing sounds he could make as he walked along the dirt path into Konoha's heart.

Something about this place perturbed him. Never did liked it, never will like it, that much he was sure.

" Whatever, wherever, or whoever we're doing better be worth it, " he lulls over to Sasuke, " I got work 'n shit to do back at the lab. "

Suigetsu throws his head back with a loud groveling holler, " AUUGHHHHHH— man. "

After his momentary dramatics, he stands back up straight again, hands pressed together in a prayer and a pleading glint in his lavender eyes, " pretty please ! May I know what my chakra smells like? "

In his mind, he smells like the ocean or even the despairing scent of approaching Winter. But, those were things he associated with Kiri and the 12 Gods know he can hardly consider himself a piece of that culture anymore.
