When you're backed against the wall, break the god damn thing down. - Harvey Specter
Finally watched the Suits s5 finale!!! It was so great and I love how they juggled so many storylines at once! AND ALL THE MARVEY WAS INSANE! It just reinforced everything we already knew - that Harvey and Mike would go to the ends of the earth to protect each other! The scene where Harvey runs to take the fall for Mike bc he knows Mike's about to plead guilty is the best! He doesn't hesitate for a second to protect his guy! hIS GUY!!! And Harvey letting Mike knock the shit out of him to PROTECT HIM bc Mike's safety is number 1 on his priorities list bc for once HE. WON'T. BE. THERE. AND HE NeedS MIKE TO BE SAFE Ugh gimme all the locked-up-Mike angst
I am having so much trouble with the back half of suits s5. I feel like it started with e9 and 10. the dialogue felt unusually both elliptic and as if the characters are reading off their motivations/descriptions rather than the things they would actually say? and the flashbacks were also a departure from the usual storytelling.
but then they started bringing back EVERYONE from the previous seasons.
everybody’s still Acting but they are all saying all the same phrases about stuff even when they’re talking about their emotions or whatever. even Louis sometimes. where’s your unique voice and weird world-framing my dude
constant classic middle seasons suits dilemmas though where half the characters need one thing and the other half are working hard at the opposite thing. look at them go
front half of suits s5 is setting up with a bit of a theme! like not only are we still doing Can Harvey Believe His Allies Are People With Their Own Motives And…Forgive Them?
but we’re also doing Can Harvey Believe His Personal Villains Can Change
(and it’s not just Louis “doomed by the narrative” goddamn Litt, who…can’t. isn’t allowed to. escapes the whole schema of the show if he ever does.)
it is amazing how many situations these writers can put this guy in that are still just corporate law.
Can't tell me Therapy by VIOLÀ isn't for s5 Harvey. It's s5 Darvey angst in lyrical form.
Mike and Harvey literally racing to confess before the other and Mike taking the deal I AM SCREAMING.
Like I know he won't flip on anyone and that means he is taking the two years at prison but I have a teeny tiny bit of hope that there's a way out of it.
ugh suits is so angsty right now and its really what i need rn but also really what i dont need rn. I love it but it hurts ... the struggles
