It happened all too fast.

He hadn’t meant to scare her, she just hadn’t heard him approaching her. With the anxious thoughts running through her head, it completely shook her when he touched her shoulder, as light as that touch may have been. She had whipped around and before her eyes, he lifted up into the air in front of her. 

There had been a moment as he levitated above her where they had held eye contact, and she felt her stomach sink. It was happening again, the tips of her fingers glowing bright yellow. Her eyes were surely matching, like they had been with the last incident. She had tried so hard to hide it and now here she was panicking.

What if she hurt him?

The power seemed to die down, causing the male to fall from where he’d been stuck. Luckily, it hadn’t been too high up. He told her he needed a moment, and her stomach sunk. What would he think of her now? He knew she was was a freak now.

“I..I didn’t mean to! I’m so sorry!” She exclaimed, her anxiety getting the best of her and she turned to run since she had no idea what else to do to help the situation. She was just so worried that he would tell someone.

   He was certainly confident, wasn’t he ? But there was no way Tooru was going to lose to a beanpole like Tsukishima. Shoving a slice of toast into his mouth, he repositioned, throwing himself back against the beanbag, one leg tucked underneath the other thigh. 

          “ Oh yeah ?? You’d better cry when my team crushes yours. ”

If he had been a little wary of speaking to someone who easily had a foot on him, he definitely was now after hearing the other’s response. 

He could see that the blonde was upset about something, though Kousei wasn’t sure how one wouldn’t notice their belongings having been taken. Still, the other boy wasn’t overly rude about it, though his harsh voice definitely didn’t win him any pints with Kousei.

Regardless,he handed over the headphones, nodding his head, Kousei’s way of acknowledging someone’s words without having to put too much effort in. His way of signalling that he wasn’t impressed, but wasn’t offended either.

“I do hope they don’t get lost again, they’re quite nice ones, and judging from their care but clear usage, quite old as well.” He smiled, hoping his friendliness would help calm the boy down.

   The tall glasses guy was hard not to notice - he was even taller than Kenji himself, which he wasn’t exactly used to. And he was familiar; irritatingly so. He would never have stopped at all if his dog hadn’t gotten her lead wrapped around the near-stranger’s leg.

          “ Think she likes you. Here, I’ll loosen it, and you step out, okay ? ”
