I wear makeup to work every day. Nothing so drastic that I feel dysphoric but enough to feel nice. Though it's not too intricate and it does take effort but the thing is, I hardly ever wear mascara. What I find funny is, on the rare days I do decide to wear it (usually to distract from blemishes), I frequently get a comment along the lines of, "Wow, looks like you actually tried with your look today." from coworkers. It always makes me pause for a moment to ponder how that one change has such a profound effect on my appearance and apparent level of effort to "look nice" that folks feel the need to comment on it. I'm already very small and feminine in body so skipping mascara is just a small thing I do to help me feel more neutral and comfortable. Then when I skip makeup all together people ask me if im sick lmao.
