Uuh this is going to be a mess because that is how I roll, apparently.
1. K/DA, Pop/Stars: So I am just finishing the last con of the season, and I was smack from of the Riot Booth on this event. We were listening to this 3-4 times a day for the last week basically hahah! Luckily it’s a song that I love.
This also messed the rest of the list since it’s been a while I could sit and listen to songs, but alas:
2. Wuji, Theme from The Untamed: To surprise of absolutely no one, I have fallen fast and deep into mxtx universe and her works, and I ended up watching the drama before the animation, so a lot of it stuck of me. This thing is a delight. I’m utterly spoiled. tl;dr: have a rec to read/watch it. Holyshit I need so much more of these.
3. Love Like You, Rebecca Sugar/Steven Universe:(link contains spoilers for TGCF/Heaven’s official blessings!) so uh. Rebecca sugar made the ultimate OTP song here, so I find myself re-listening to it very often. I’ve linked the reason this time - someone made a super sweet animatic for HOB, with all the special and tragic moments from the book, and this video makes me cry *every time*
4. 나의 타마코, 나의 숙희 My Tamako, my Sookee: so, a friend of mine from Shukita fandom highly recced ‘The Handmaiden’ movie for me, and I’ve instantly fell in love with it. This particular music was the one that made me watch it, and I’ve been in love with the track and everything that it means ever since
5. Break In to Break Out, Persona 5 the Animation OP1: Yeah, I didn’t even finish watching the animation, but dang both of this opening themes just works for me. It’s no surprise the next song is
6. Dark Sun, Persona 5 the Animation OP2: yeah. I love this one too. I wasn’t ready. I just listen to it often.
7. Found & Lost, Survive said the prophet: Holyshit another animation I need to finish watching as soon as I have time, and another opening theme I just *love*. This is from Banana Fish.
8. Rise - League of Legends world championship song from 2018: This song is all the energy I need to get into work mood. There is no song more perfect than this to chronicle the energy and willpower needed to excel at art. C’mon guys, we can do this! Make them remember you!
9. Scapegoat Orchestral Suit, from Owari no Seraph: while I didn’t particular like the animation/story (damn that queerbaiting), I simply love this song. Listen to it - it’s perfect and moving.
10. APOCALYPSIS AQUARIUS, Final Fantasy XV: For all my epic needs. This track is absolutely spectacular, and like, omg FF15, how dare you. I wasn’t particularly loving the game until this particular song and scene kicked me in the face and left me no other option.
oh whew, that was a lot. I had a handful more here, but this have been my top 10 recently. Hope you enjoy at least a handful!
