Top Three Ships: Omg this is *so* hard. Each ship I've picked along the way meant a lot to me back in the day, and picking tops is hard. The 3 more recent ones are Wangxian, Hualian and Shukita...Akeshu; Stucky, Thorki, Augus/Gwyn, Kirk/Spock, Michiru/Haruka, Hiei/Kurama- omg. All of my ships *hugs them all* So yeah, I think the answer is: I have trouble pickings tops -everyone is a switch in my land-

Last book: I just finished TGCF (Heaven's Officials Blessing), the other book by mxtx, the author of MDZS. I'm so in love, people. So in love. I'm addicted. Having ships being canon in such a settings is a potent drug, I'm getting forever spoiled

The last few posts re: tumblrpurge might be accurrate to what OP has experienced, but there are a lot of fandom blogs I follow with NSFW art that have been terminated. Most of them have been able to get their content back, but people like jaspurlock/onesmolhurt who only draws characters 18+ got terminated and tumblr won't give them their blog back because of "child pornography" - which they doesn't draw. (You don't have to post this, I just wanted to let you know what I've seen. Stay safe!)

It seems the whole problem is the bot deleting, and then when you have to ask for personal review of what is happening, things will get dirty, specially if you have been targeted by antis.

I love the textures you're getting in your digital work. What programs and brush packs are you using? I am always so lost and overwhelmed by what's out there, and I know I just gotta practice, but I try to ask artists whose work I admire this just as a jumping off point for myself.

I use Photoshop, and I have been using Kyle’s brushes for a while now. They used to be paid, but now they’re available for anyone with the CC subscription here:

Here is my list of textured brushes from Kyle’s:

Now, here is the trick:I don’t outright paint with this textured brushes. I start most of the painting with the default/softer brushes, paint most o the thing, and on top of that I add points of interest and texture to the paint. This way you can add variety and subtlety to your texture/brushwork :)Something like this:

Just because you care about something doesn't mean you let it consume your life. You don't even need to care to be good. I'm a published author only cause I didn't care enough about the work I submitted to even spell check. The piece I actually cared about got rejected twice while my backup was accepted within 30hours of submission. Shit doesn't have to be good, it just has to get done.

Deep down, I know that - heck, I’ve been making a leaving for 15+ now exactly like that.

But it just feels.. barren. I’m stuck, you know?

And I’m sorry the submission you cared about got rejected :( That sucks. But it is somewhat like what I feel too - you make this herculean effort about caring just... to get back to square 01 heh
