Despite understanding how a fair bit of this is meant to be Suleiman subtly calling Ibrahim to account for what he overheard

this feels like a truly insane thing to say to a man who you know himself as an actual twin (particularly when it's a brother that you became a stand-in for)

(I do think, in retrospect, that it's meant to be a reminder of, "Remember where you come from," after Ibrahim's "seven hills" comment, but...sir.)

It also, to me, adds a further weight to this scene, later on, where Suleiman is similarly holding Ibrahim accountable for thinking himself on "par" with Suleiman himself since Apollo is the god of the sun, while Artemis is the goddess of the moon.

Thinking of how, even with Suleiman being comparatively older and more established when taking the throne, we can still see a struggle for authority against his mother, like the sultans of MCK.

And, even more notably, this occurs in the wake of Suleiman admonishing his mother directly for interfering in who enters his chambers.

Add to this how Sümbül actually hesitates to fulfill the order to release Hürrem (man straight up needs to be menaced into carrying out the order) and it's actually kind of understandable that Suleiman gives his mother the cold shoulder the next day. Particularly when, as she herself says, he always used to start the day with her blessing—he's communicating (in his own, cryptic Suleiman way) that things will not be the same as they used to be anymore.

(Am also thinking back to this moment and how the Valide might've been attempting to influence and keep an eye on Suleiman through her choices in concubines for quite some time now.)
