So I totally get why somepeople don't like the movie I totally do, but I did like it in a way. for the first twenty or so minutes I felt that I would have enjoyed the movie 1000 times more in theaters the action sequences just look over the top on my phone screen. Winry being in the movie almost the whole way? Good job director giving my wife a ton of screen time.
I felt that almost all the characters were pretty well cast almost tooo well cast.
I wish that it were more fleshed out to be honest but I know you can't fit a half dozen volumes/ a whole arc into one two hour movie but gosh if I don't want that.
The opening sequence was kind of out of place to be honest and I wish it would have been more bloody and true to the series and not just Al flying off into the sky which was honestly so funny.
The artificial humanoid things and ed and als mom were so freaking creepy and I was half expecting envy to just suddenly turn to the camera in the closing shot.
Growing up I was just so gay and thirsty for alot of the characters I almost want to see sequels to see who they cast for the Armstrong's and scar and some other northern soldiers
Anyways having read the manga and watched both series even tho it's been a while sometimes I felt during some plot points that didn't this happen later? Like after izumi was introduced and isn't scar introduced after the battle or am I just completely wrong on the scar arc timeline?
Tldr: the movie isn't as bad as people make it out to be and I wouldn't mind sequels to be honest I give it a solid 7.5/10 it would be higher but I just recently saw train to busan and I really loved that movie ... like alot. (9/10)
I might make another post later cause it 1:30 am and I can't really formulate a coherent review of the movie ♡
