More manga pages,, my favorite trio gets the spotlight again
Thinking about how Kirio and Iruma both do this thing where they take the others desire and twist it to fit their own worldview. It's not just that thing where they're natural enemies/opposites due to their outlooks on despair, but that they want each other, so their ambitions make room for each other.
Iruma loves Babyls and the acceptance he's found there and wants Kirio to participate in that, so his ideal place for Kirio is back in the Magitools Battler.
Kirio loves chaos and despair and also wants Iruma to be a part of that, so his ideal place for Iruma is one where he has literally made Iruma a part of himself, to join that desolate world.
Moreover, they both understand each others' desires to some degree.
Kirio understands that Iruma wants a place for himself to be accepted most of all--he knows that Iruma is terrified of abandonment--so he takes that and offers Iruma a place to belong when everything else has fallen apart- even if it's his stomach.
Iruma understands that Kirio has hoped for a more equal world and that he's given up on it. But, even with that, he keeps hope for Kirio's return. It's not lost on me that the second Battler fair even had him choose to actively continue the club's original purpose and reputation in a way that aided his own goals. The entire battler even planned to 'Plunge all of Babyls into the depths of terror' or something along those lines, a distinct repetition of Kirio's own plans the year prior.
(Some other things that get me about this pair are: the rings, the fact that Iruma first understood demons when looking at Kirio and now wants to *be* a demon, the rings, how obsessed Kirio is with Iruma in general, the fact that gluttony is such a big focus in Mairuma while one of the elements of their relationship is (not technically) cannibalism, the rings, and the fact that, in a manga where one of the themes is not compromising one's desires, both of their desires for each other completely clash and we know that Iruma is going to win.)

Clara and azz finally know iruma is a human, i wish it happen in better circumtanse,
Though i am glad he can said it himself and they didnt find it from another person
😭 💔 😭 I honestly think any endgame not involving polyamory will be a cop out at this point
