gate was shut tight come morning; last night a few raiders had been particularly…. ambitious. fortunate for them, it seemed like they gave their grenades to people who didn’t know how to count to THREE. fending them off had been easy, they hadn’t even made it past the barricades- but still, procedure was procedure (and better safe than sorry). wait for someone to press the buzzer, state their business, then he could officially keep the gate open for the rest of the day.
She pressed the button, hearing the buzz but no immediate answer.
Her resolution? To press more, letting her hand linger so that the buzz never ended.
“Hello? I’d love to come inside whenever -- ‘ya know -- you guys let me.”
The procedure those guards had to go through was several kinds of annoying. Sure, raiders came by on occasion, but was all this really needed? It was a bit much, in the woman's opinion.
“Come on,
It’s not like I haven’t been here before.”
