The 2010 Juno-nominated Sultans of String takes audiences on riveting musical adventures by serving up a spicy stew of Middle Eastern folk, Spanish Flamenco, French Manouche Gypsy jazz, and Cuban rhythms. Acoustic strings meet with electronic wizardry to create layers and depth of sound, while world rhythms excite audiences to their feet with the irresistible need to dance. Their stunning sophomore album, Yalla Yalla (Arabic for “Come on let’s go!”), weaves a truly global sonic tapestry.
