This is slightly terrifying since I haven’t used anything besides a mechanical pencil in the last like... decade.
it took me some time to realise that your #ow tag was for overwatch, not an outward expression of something like "THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL IT HURTS SO GUD". haaaa...8D...

the cold makes your muscles and blood vessels cramp and contract. heat relaxes them. that's why you avoid ice cream and cold during periods because it makes your cramps worse
oh im not talking about like actual physical properties of the food/drinks, it’s more about the food itself? like different food have different properties regardless of their physical temperature

i think this is pretty much an uniquely asian concept. as an overseas chinese person, the only other people ive come across that observe this stuff are other asian people. plus i think it's pretty telling that this stuff is referred to as "pseudoscience" in english
i asked a filipino friend and apparently it’s not a thing for them either, so i think it’s probably just a chinese thing!! it’s really interesting though. it’s like common sense for us (sg/my chinese in general) i didn’t actually think about how it’s probably not a thing for other cultures until last night. idk too much about the pseudoscience thing cos i probably don’t have enough knowledge/experience in either field to comment
